Her Heart

September 1, 2007

She followed her heart once she found it. And after that, things didn’t necessarily get easier, but everything that she experienced meant so much more.

One evening at sunset, in that time of intense golden pink light, we three determined that we would no longer photograph ourselves with double chins and thick middles and flappy under arms. Instead, our viewfinders will focus on a sunlit knee or graceful hands or a foot emerging from chartreuse pants. We know who we are and these new portraits will tell the story of fleeting moments among very good friends quite eloquently.
